With 500 miles apiece under their belts, we check in with Kimchi and Saina to see what life is like as a thru-hiker. This episode is a snapshot of some ups and downs, both for our hikers and for our producer. First you go up, then you go down. And then back up again.
This is part 1 of 2 for A Day in the Life.
Thanks for all the positive feedback we’ve received this week. It’s been super rewarding (and maybe a little intimidating) to know that we really have people out there listening to this podcast.

June 8, 2015 at 1:54 pmHello! My girlfriend and I have been listening to your podcast since I came across your show via the r/PacificCrestTail page on reddit. We’re planning our thru hike of the PCT for 2016 and have found the show very interesting and informative. Keep it up, we’ll be listening!

October 22, 2015 at 5:23 amThis was one of my favorite episodes so far. I like hearing about the nitty-gritty details: equipment failure, terrain, bugs, water sources, miles, weather. Keep up the great work.

December 2, 2016 at 12:11 pmI’m only on this episode so I’m a little far behind but just wanted to say I love the podcast! I just got back into day-hiking after a few years of not being able to hike at all due to medical issues, and this really keeps me going during the work week until my next hike. So thanks and keep it going!
